The Faculty of Medicine Rijeka is announcing 2nd public call for admission to University Integrated Undergraduate and Graduate Study Programme of Medicine in English language in academic year 2026/2027.

The deadline for submission of the application is Monday, 29 June 2026. 

The application documentation is submitted exclusively in PDF form via a web application.

Once your application has been verified we kindly ask you to send the original documents by EXPPRESS post no later than July 1, 2026, as follows:

  • Please send the original documents (international student application form, CV, 4 photographs, proof of payment of the application fee (200,00 EUR), medical certificate not older than one month, birth certificate, certified copy of financial statment) to the following address: University of Rijeka, Faculty of Medicine, Medical Studies in English, Braće Branchetta 20, 51000 Rijeka, Croatia.
* final date for sending (not receiving) the documents to Central Registration Office for the applicants who finished their secondary education abroad before 31.12.2025. is May 22, 2026.

* *The entrance exam will be organized on-site in a hybrid mode (online) at the University of Rijeka, Faculty of Medicine premises, Braće Branchetta 20/I, 51000 Rijeka and simultaneously abroad.

Based on the bilateral agreement with the School of Medicine, Hyogo Medical University, Japan, on 1 October 2025, the Faculty of Medicine announces the Call for applications for the election of two three-year students and three fifth-year students of the University Integrated Undergraduate and Graduate Study of Medicine and/or University Integrated Undergraduate and Graduate Study of Medicine conducted in the English language, who will participate in the student exchange programme at the School of Medicine, Hyogo Medical University, Japan, in 2026.

Matriculation week for first-year students of the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka from 29 September to 8 October 2025

Matriculation lecture for first-year students will be held on Tuesday, 30 September 2025 according to the following schedule:
  • Lecture room 2 – Study programme of Medicine – 9:00 am
  • Lecture room 1 – Study programmes of Pharmacy, Environmental and Public Health and Medical Laboratory Diagnostics – 10:00 am
  • Lecture hall (15) – Study programme of Medicine in English – 11:00 am

Besides the matriculation lecture, we have prepared many interesting events.

We invite students, years II. – VI. of the integrated undergraduate and graduate university study of ‘Medicine’ in English, interested in near-peer teaching at english-language courses conducted by the Department of Anatomy, to send in their filled application by emailing mariana.fucic@medri.uniri.hr with mia.medic@medri.uniri.hr in CC, by September 21st, 2025 at 23:59 CEST at the latest. Please title your email as ‘Call for demonstrators – application – your name and surname’.

All applicants will be informed via email (during the week subsequent to the deadline for applications, September 22nd – 28th, 2025) about the results of the Call, as well as of the time of the first near-peer teacher meeting.
